Sometime this afternoon, the U.SA. Senate will vote on whether to impeach President Donald Trump, who already has been impeached by the House of Representatives. Will the Senate break from its pattern of voting mostly along party lines, and hold the President accountable for his actions? No. But it’s history in the making anyway, so watch it where you can find it. The expected acquittal is expected to take place at 4 p.m. ET. Then watch to see if the proposal for officially censuring Presi

When this movie came out in 1969, it was rated X. Later on, without removing anything from the film, it was rated R. Times changed. Movies did, too. But this movie, with great and brave performances from both Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, has remained the same: a fabulous, vulnerable, heartbreaking character study. Harry Nilsson’s recording of Fred Neil’s “Everybody’s Talking” became a hit song from the movie – although Nilsson’s own composition, &ldquo

Postponed last week because of the impeachment hearings, CNN’s latest series of Town Hall presentations begins at 8 p.m. ET tonight with former Vice President Joe Biden, holding court in New Hampshire, off his less than dominant, still-being-counted finish in the Iowa caucus. Following Biden, from the same venue: Senator Elizabeth Warren at 9 ET, Andrew Yang at 10, and Tom Steyer at 11.

This is scheduled to be the second day of remarks from senators – the same day as the State of the Union Address, so senators have an especially long day today. As do political junkies, if they watch everything… while still waiting for caucus results from Iowa, which hadn’t come in as of this morning.

Tonight, President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver what may or may not be his last State of the Union Address. Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence will be seated behind him. If you need more political drama than that, I’m not sure where you’ll find it. At least not tonight.

Even though last week’s Senate vote against allowing additional testimony or evidence would seem to make the rest of this presidential impeachment hearing essentially hearing-impaired, it continues. Today each side starts the day with closing arguments (two hours each), then allots time, today and tomorrow, for senators to speak their peace (briefly) and defend their votes and positions. That pushes the actual vote on impeachment to Thursday, presumably. Meanwhile, today the results from t

Tonight on TCM, there’s a double feature that’s also a two-sided coin: Two Marilyn Monroe films are shown back to back, but they’re ones showcasing different talents. At 8 p.m. ET, 1956’s Bus Stop (pictured) shows off her dramatic side. Then, at 9:45 p.m. ET, Some Like It Hot, released three years later, presents Monroe as a comedic sex symbol, her specialty – and her performance, opposite Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis, is infectiously delightful.

DOCUMENTARY MINISERIES DEBUT: This new nonfiction series takes an interesting case of fraud – how the ongoing McDonald’s fast-food promotional sweepstakes based on the Monopoly game was compromised, and millions of prize money diverted to a small group of conspirators – and makes a multi-part documentary out of it. The techniques, relying on a few boisterous interviews and a lot of not-so-subtle recreations, aren’t that impressive. But the story itself, the central myster
