Joe Manganiello continues his guest role as Brad, the former friend and current nemesis of Marshall (Jason Segel), in this episode. It’s called “Twelve Angry Women,” and it pits the two men in the courtroom, as rival attorneys arguing a case against a jury of impressionable ladies – who are impressed, especially, by Brad’s flirtatious charms.
Encore, 8:00 p.m. ET
Part 1 of 4. This 1993 sequel to the 1989 miniseries Lonesome Dove has two drawbacks: Robert Duvall’s character from the first miniseries is dead, and Tommy Lee Jones’ character of Woodrow F. Call is played, this time around, by Jon Voight. But Rick Schroder is back as Newt, and other new Dove players this time around, in a story that’s less not as epic as the original but still is worth watching, include William L. Petersen, Dennis Haysbert and Reese Witherspoon.
TCM, 8:00 p.m. ET
This 1940 version of the Jane Austen novel remains one of the best adaptations, in part because it has some of the best performances. Greer Garson and Maureen O’Sullivan star, and Mr. Darcy is played by Laurence Olivier.
NBC, 10:01 p.m. ET
This is the episode in which Miles and Monroe (Billy Burke, David Lyons) finally confront each other face to face. You could say the meeting is disastrous, but the disaster – of the permanent blackout variety – happened a long time ago. Fans of this show, beware: This midseason finale is the last first-run episode until March. Four months from now.
TCM, 10:15 p.m. ET
