Last week, the basic inspiration for the mood and theme of that particular episode seemed to be Poltergeist. Tonight, it appears to be Raiders of the Lost Ark, with an extended sequence that has the heroes trying to traverse a dangerous, ancient series of subterranean trails, underwater traps, and ancient puzzles.

This series has turned out to be a really engrossing character study, and each of the four primary characters has revealed aspects of their personality that have proven quite surprising. The female killer apparently was a victim of sexual abuse in her past while a girl at school, and now has a chance at revenge – while the female investigator (Eve Myles) has a history of abuse as well. But in her case, it’s drug abuse – using heroin while seeking the aforementioned female killer.
