All You Need is Art
November 19, 2018  | By Eric Gould  | 1 comment

It’s the 50th (gulp) anniversary of the eponymous The Beatles album (aka The White Album) released in November 1968, and to mark the occasion the company has released two new videos to coincide with a special re-release of the record which includes all remastered tracks as well as lots of session takes that have never been heard before. UK animation house, Trunk, used stop-motion and scratch and paint film techniques that somehow manage to capture the spirit and times of “Back In The U.S.S.R” and here, to the tune of “Glass Onion,” a re-imagination  of the poster-collage included in the double album sleeve done by Paul McCartney and pop artist Richard Hamilton  Here’s another place you can be… —Eric Gould
