CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT
May 15, 2015  | By David Bianculli

TCM, 8:00 p.m. ET

Continuing’s TCM’s month-long Friday salute to Orson Welles, tonight’s offerings stress his Shakespearean dramas – starting with this 1966 film, in which he plays Shakespeare’s Falstaff in this version exploring Falstaff’s relationship with the future King Henry V. Following that, at 10:15 p.m. ET, is 1952’s Othello, and at midnight ET, 1948’s Macbeth, featuring Welles’ Mercury Players. Orson Welles is on camera, and behind it, in all these movies.
