Last night, this series was bumped by the two-hour season finale of Empire – and in one recent Idol live show, host Ryan Seacrest asked two of that show’s stars, sitting in the audience, how it felt to be on the top-rated program on TV. Then Seacrest added, wistfully, that he remembered when he was on the top-rated show on TV. Well, tonight, American Idol gets the entire two hours of prime time on Fox, as it presents performances from the Top 10 finalists, then says goodbye to some of them – unless the judges exert their right to “save” one.
