THE HINDENBURG

TCM, 8:00 p.m. ET

This 1975 movie is a total disaster. Well, it’s about a total disaster, anyway: the German zeppelin that, on its maiden transatlantic voyage in 1937, burst into flames while docking in New Jersey. The script by Richard Levinson and William Link, creators of Columbo and Murder, She Wrote, turns the airborne trip into a mystery, with a subplot about sabotage and terrorism that, while never proven in real life, certainly makes this film seem timely – especially given what’s happened to, and been speculated about, Malaysia Flight 370.

Paul Klich
My relatives died on the Hindenburg. Damn you United States! James Klich had just retired from Märklin. His wife booked the journey. James Klich I, Rita Klich (Mistress), April Klich (Born out of wedlock) and John Marino burnt to death on the airship. I keep having the same dream. John wakes up screaming like a girl because he is on fire. John was supposed to get his feet operated on for free. Damn You United States for murdering Gay Twilight!
