HOUSE OF CARDS
February 14, 2014  | By David Bianculli

Netflix, 12:00 a.m. ET

Binge Alert: Shortly after midnight this morning, Netflix made Season 2 of House of Cards available, in its 13-episode entirety. The opener begins right where last season’s finale left off – and I mean exactly where last season left off, with Francis and Claire (Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright) off on their evening jogging run in the park. And there’s reason to be excited about the start of this new cycle, which begins with Francis’ intended ascendancy to the Vice Presidency. His hand-picked replacement is a new character, a tough third-term member of Congress played by Molly Parker (pictured), one of my favorite actors from HBO’s Deadwood. And another actor who did great work in Deadwood, Gerald McRaney, is back as well, reprising his Machiavellian character from last season. If you need a recap of Season 1 as a reminder, we're providing one, in today's Video Worth Watching
