MURDER IN THE FIRST
July 7, 2014  | By David Bianculli  | 1 comment

TNT, 10:00 p.m. ET

The more hours of this serialized murder mystery go by, the easier it is to evaluate whether it’s worth the time and trouble to watch, and whether it’s adding anything new to the genre or the form. And though the jury will continue to be out for another few weeks, the preliminary verdict is, in respective order, no, no and no.

Confused. It's a thumbs up for watching but the comments suggest there is nothing new and not worth the trouble to watch. Which is it ?
Also, what happened to Longmire as a recommendation? Modern American Indian culture as it rubs against crime is certainly not been overdone and the acting is pretty good.
