After the best episode in this series’ two-season history, The Newsroom returns, after a holiday week off, to pick up where it left off – with Jeff Daniels’ Will McAvoy and his staff trying to reclaim the trust and reputation they enjoyed before faltering on-air. Jane Fonda, playing the news channel’s owner, ended that episode by screaming, “Get it back!” And tonight, they start to do just that, as Election Night 2012 arrives.
