SERIES PREMIERE: SCTV vets Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy reteam for TV in this new comedy series from the recently renamed and launched Pop network, in a sitcom co-created by Levy and his son, Dan Levy. The three of them, along with Annie Murphy as daughter Alexis, play a wealthy family who suddenly loses its fortune and moves to a small town the father once bought as a joke, because of its Schitt’s Creek name. Once they get to the town, they encounter the mayor, played by Chris Elliott, and such comically abrasive residents as the one played by Emily Hampshire, the Syfy 12 Monkeys co-star who’s a dead ringer for Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany. (Think how much money could have been saved in post-production on that clone-filled drama if it had cast them both.)
