TOM JONES

In 1963, this costume drama pushed the boundaries of sexual innuendo in film, especially at mealtime. During the picnic scene, the title character had quite a picnic indeed. But the biggest reason to watch this film is to see Albert Finney, as Tom Jones, in the prime of his cinematic sex-symbol status. If you delighted in watching Finney’s performance as a cantankerous aging lawyer in 2000’s Erin Brockovich, as you should have, here’s a fun compare-and-contrast exercise to look at the same actor 37 years earlier.
