NATURE: "OCTOPUS: MAKING CONTACT"
PBS, 8:00 p.m. ET
Tonight’s new Nature hour, called “Octopus: Making Contact,” presents a lot of interesting information about what scientists know about octopi, but also has some fascinating segments about what we don’t know. For example: do they dream? And if they do, what of? There’s a segment in which photographers capture footage of a sleeping octopus, and all the chameleonic changes it goes through while… dreaming? It begs for a new variation on a poem by Ogden Nash: “Tell me, O Octopus, I screams – Is those things lights, or is they dreams?” Check local listings.
