SERIES PREMIERE: This new animated series comes from Ellen Degeneres’ production company, and expands Dr. Seuss’ unforgettably playful 1960 children’s picture book into 13 episodes. Michael Douglas provides the voice of the reluctant sampler of the title dish, and Adam Devine plays the insistently enthusiastic Sam-I-Am. Other voices are provided by Eddie Izzard, Diane Keaton, Tracy Morgan and John Turturro, which just goes to show how many fans this classic book has amassed over the decades, among children and parents. And since the moral of the book is to be open to new things, you may as well try it. You might even find youself saying, “Say! I like Green Eggs and Ham! I do! I like them, Sam-I-Am!” For background on the series, see Mike Hughes' Open Mike.
