MINISERIES FINALE: This is the end of the road for Jason Segel’s ambitious, impressive miniseries – and while it’s been set up as an intricate puzzle to be solved, anyone watching closely to this point might conclude that it’s the journey, not the destination, that matters here. And that even the end is somewhere in the middle of a larger story – as are we all. I’ve been very impressed by how emotional, and how focused inward, Dispatches has gotten as it nears its final episode. When this series asks us to imagine ourselves as the various characters – every week, the shows makes that even easier for us to do.
