WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?
May 14, 2020  | By David Bianculli

ABC, 8:00 p.m. ET

Last week, Catherine O’Hara, the SCTV and Schitt’s Creek veteran who almost never shows up on television as herself, showed up opposite host Jimmy Kimmel to play Millionaire for charity. She earned $32,000 last week before the show ended, and this week continues her quest for the big charity contribution. She still has help: with the studio audience banned from the set due to COVID-19 concerns, Millionaire currently allows its celebrity contestants to bring along a single audience “member,” who can chime in with input on the first 10 questions. O’Hara chose to bring Brad Rutter, one of the three players in the recent all-star ultimate battle on Jeopardy! Now that’s smart… and tonight, if he helps her get to the high-risk, big-money solo level, we’ll see how smart she is. I’m rooting for her, if only for memories of her Lola Heatherton on SCTV.
