Comedian Jordan Peele carved out an entirely new career path for himself as the writer-director of this brilliant 2017 thriller – a movie as commendable for its casting choices as for its inventive, allegorical story. Daniel Kaluuya is perfect as the young man who somewhat reluctantly visits his white girlfriend's family for a weekend vacation. Allison Williams is the girlfriend, Bradley Whitfield and Catherine Keener play her parents, and they’re all outstanding in very multilayered roles.
