PLANET EARTH: A CELEBRATION
Various Networks, 8:00 p.m. ET
SPECIAL PREMIERE: This new special, presented by BBC America and simulcast on sister networks such as IFC and Sundance, is the best sort of TV recycling. It takes a series of the best sequences from previous outstanding documentary miniseries Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II, and re-edits them, with new narration by David Attenborough and new music by Hans Zimmer and others. No question about it: There’s a staggering amount of natural beauty on hand here. And Attenborough, as always, is to be treasured no less than the lands and creatures he so lovingly describes.
