HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP

If you play a football game in an empty stadium and no one makes it sound, did those teams ever play at all? The two Los Angeles pro football teams, the Rams and the Chargers, may be about to find out. Last week, the Rams got their first taste of their club’s brand new SoFi Stadium digs, and conducted their first scrimmage there. This week, there are more scrimmages – tougher, more physical ones, with the players wearing full pads – and more players cut as the teams continue to trim their rosters. But the pandemic, and efforts to play a physical sport without catching or spreading a highly contagious virus, always are front and center in this unprecedented season for Hard Knocks.
