This is NBC’s same-month repeat of the stage musical, filmed in London and starring Matthew Morrison from Glee as the Grinch – and now that The Voice is gone for a holiday break, a way for the network to fill its Monday prime time with an expected dose of music. One set of fun Grinch facts: the Grinch was 53 years old, its creator Ted Geisel was 53 years old, and this Christmas marks 54 years since the animated Chuck Jones version’s original telecast. I should have pointed that out last year, when it would have been neatly symmetrical – but I didn’t know it then.
