SERIES PREMIERE: The most welcome sight in this reboot of NBC’s once exciting, then disappointing, long-dormant superhero series is that of Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet, the guy with glasses, the first of the old series’ stars to be seen in this sequel. (Another pops up for a surprise cameo in this two-hour premiere, and a few other stars of Heroes are scheduled to appear in coming weeks – but others are not.) The action in Heroes Reborn picks up five years after the original series ended, which is exactly how long it’s been since Heroes was canceled. And the flashiest new element is Kiki Sukezane as Miko, a girl with samurai swordfighting skills, and a hidden gift of popping in and out of a 3-D video game that seems linked, somehow, to real life, and a skyscraper full of bad guys. But with all the action, and all the new faces, I wasn’t hooked after watching the first two hours of Heroes Reborn. In fact, I was Heroes re-bored.
