Tonight, an examination of that decade continues, and tonight’s topic is The AIDS Crisis. Young adults, in particular, may be stunned by the ignorant and vehement initial reactions generated by the discovery and identification of HIV and AIDS. Welcome to The Eighties.

Couldn't watch it when it aired and haven't found the last 2 episodes online. What gives, CNN? That "breaking news" was hardly worth disrupting your scheduled lineup. It was basically 4 guys arguing and Anderson weighing in with his opinion on an old-ass story. Fix it, Jesus.

Well after just trying to view the episode and finding it to be more Trump bullshit, I blew a fuse and about had a massive coronary. I have recovered but I am still pissed. My DVR is now showing it is going to be aired on Thursday, June 9. Now everybody cross their fingers!

It is the same with other shows I look forward to (i.e. Fareed Zakaria's specials or his GPS show Sunday mornings for that matter). Gets pre-empted by 24/7 "news" coverage of something CNN deems is more important - it is infuriating, and there is no way to contact them. This has happened to me more times than necessary.

Every time I try to record this series I end up watching some stupid political campaign bullshit that has been regurgitated for hours on end. What's the point of having a great series like The Eighties and then never airing it??!!!! I can't even find it at other times during the week. It's like it just disappeared. What an outrage. CNN wears us out every 20 minutes showing promos and showtime then cancel it without even a mention????? This series is far and above their news. Their news is so slanted and biased I can barely stand to watch it. They actually have done a great job with the 70's and 80's series. I think it's beyond rude to not even mention that it wouldn't run and still have made no explanation to the viewers. Two thumbs down!

It's one thing to pre-empt a scheduled and heavily promoted program but just like last time there was no reference to it, allusion to it, or acknowledgement of it. It just sort of disappeared w/o a trace. Considering the amount of money and work that goes into these productions, that's a little suspicious.

In a flashback to the actual 80's… CNN appears to be burying this episode. First it was supposed to be Episode 3, then it was moved to later in the series (Episode 8) and the title changed from "The AIDS Crisis" to "The Fight Against AIDS". I guess some revisionists didn't like the word Crisis. Finally, it was supposed to air last night (twice) but was pre-empted both times for stories about Prince (who died a month ago) and, of course, Donald and Hillary (both times). It's only other air date is this Saturday. I hope Donald doesn't tweet about a Judge or we may have to wait til the series hits Netflix. Way to go CNN for recreating the atmosphere of the 80's wrt AIDS.

When it first happened and they re-advertised it for last night I thought "Oh, okay, they decided to move it to Pride Month that makes sense." But to do this again, to this episode, makes me feel like there is something else behind it.

I have loved the whole 60's 70's and now the 80 this is where all my memories as a child come from . But I've only been able to watch maybe 2 because if it's not prince, it an airliner and now trump they skip it I even set it to record again and again and still there talking about what they ever exactly before and it's everywhere ... come on now. I can see if something Monumental has happened but the stuff that you're telling us about you been telling her about all day long.how Can you skip a show with lots of people like try replaying it then. Sip it again. the same crap before really bummer time and time again now. It's like you want us to loose interest in the show. I know for sure I missed 2 or so episodes including there replays to to same old news
