MOVIE PREMIERE: This Netflix movie, one of the new programming avenues with which it’s experimenting, streams beginning today, starring Paul Rudd as a man who takes a six-week course and sets out to become an at-home caregiver. His first potential patient is a young invalid with muscular dystrophy, played by Craig Roberts, whose initial entrance, a few minutes into this gentle comedy-drama by Rob Burnett, ought to persuade you to stick around and settle in. Burnett, former executive producer of Late Show with David Letterman, is trying something new here, at least for him: a character study that turns into a buddy-comedy road trip, but with more complications and angst than most. Co-stars include Selena Gomez, Jennifer Ehle and Bobby Cannavale.
