GREAT PERFORMANCES: “CHITA RIVERA: A LOT OF LIVIN’ TO DO”
November 6, 2015  | By David Bianculli

PBS, 9:00 p.m. ET

Taped last winter during a nasty snowstorm that provided a snowglobe look outside the Lincoln Center Appel Room windows, this salute to Broadway veteran Chita Rivera pairs an intimate new cabaret performance of hers with remembrances and other sweet touches. She originated the roles of Anita in West Side Story and Velma in Chicago, and so, so much more – all of which is sampled, and celebrated, in this loving concert performance, sprinkled generously with film clips and testimonials. For a full review, see David Hinckley's All Along the Watchtower. Check local listings.
