Things may change today and tonight, but as of this morning on Thursday, there’s a big change at tonight’s Republican National Debate, sponsored and televised by Fox News Channel. That’s right – Rand Paul is back on the main stage! Actually, and obviously, the big news is that Donald Trump has announced his intention to skip the debates, after FNC boss Roger Ailes refused Trump’s demand to remove Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly (pictured), who asked him some tough questions in the first debate, as moderator. We’ll know in less than a week, after the Iowa caucus results come in, whether that was a smart or dumb move – but it sure is another example of Trump knowing how to play, and fan the flames of, the media.
