Tonight the A&E Networks continue with their miniseries version of War & Peace – but if you’re in the mood for an actual epic costume drama, go here instead. This 1962 David Lean movie, starring Peter O’Toole as a British officer who fights alongside Arab soldiers in what eventually would be known as WWI, is spectacularly beautiful, sweeping in both scope and photography. And as a modern-day bonus, the lands where the action is set have since been the scene of a whole series of Middle Eastern events.
