2016 NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
April 4, 2016  | By David Bianculli

TBS, 9:00 p.m. ET

So it comes down to this: No. 1 seed North Carolina vs. No. 2 seed Villanova, two teams that notched decisive wins in their semifinal games to make it to tonight’s championship. I respect both teams, but my heart belongs to Villanova – because of their heart in coming back to win games throughout this tournament. The tipoff is scheduled for around 9:19 p.m. ET – and if you’re looking for it on CBS, don’t. The finals are shown on TBS this year – the first time they’re shown exclusively on cable television. And they’re also shown on TBS sister stations TNT and TruTV, but with different audio, of what’s called “homer” coverage. North Carolina fans can hear their team’s homeboy coverage on TNT, while true Villanova fans can hear their partisan announcers on TruTV.
