Christmas Worth Listening
December 7, 2012  | By Eric Gould

To accompany the special price Amazon has on A Charlie Brown Christmas, here's the opening song of the famous soundtrack album. So popular, and often synonymous with the Peanuts specials, it's known as "The Peanuts Theme", but the track is actually titled "Linus and Lucy". Written and performed by jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi for the Peanuts characters in 1964, it debuted on the Christmas special in 1965. It's just not possible to be a Grinch when "Linus and Lucy" plays. Thanks Agnes, and cue the music… –EG
