Ever Immortal Harmony
January 9, 2014  | By Eric Gould

Phil Everly passed away last Friday at the age of 74. Performing with brother Don as The Everly Brothers, the duo had a string of hits across early rock radio in the 50s and early 60s and made frequent television appearances. Known for their signature harmonies, the Everlys have long been remembered by many artists including The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and Emmylou Harris as their inspiration to sing the two-part style. This clip of "('Til) I Kissed You" is from Dick Clark's Saturday Night Beechnut Show in 1960. –EG
