2004: 'Friends': The Last One
May 6, 2012  | By Christy Slewinski  | 5 comments

Today in 2004, six friends headed off to their favorite coffee house for one last latte and then, to the tune of Jefferson Airplane's "Embryonic Journey," presumably headed their separate ways. And so ended Friends, one of television's most popular sitcoms. The NBC series made its primary cast - Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow - household names. The 52.5 million viewers who tuned in to see the last episode - titled "The Last One" - made it the fourth most-watched series finale in TV history.
