I Guess He Found the Light Switch...
November 2, 2012  | By Eric Gould

Here's Jon Stewart Wednesday night, having returned from two nights cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. Stewart's monolog -- "A Tribute to Institutional Competence" - praised President Obama, Governor's Cuomo and Christie, and NYC mayor Bloomberg for putting aside the usual politics and for demonstrating the power and competence of their public offices. Christie, shown just a short while back characterizing the Presidential response to the economy as someone in a dark room, fumbling for the light switch, was all over the news on Tuesday complimenting the President's work on the disaster. As usual, Stewart's comic references swing far and wide -- from the Sargasso Sea, to the beauty of sign language delivery. And speaking of sign language, stick around for Samantha Bee's bit at the end, when she "signs" the rest of Stewart's piece. —EG
