JON STEWART TEACHES US ALL
Through The Daily Show, Jon Stewart entertains us by reporting the news while exposing the hypocrisy, inanity, and outright lies in the world – especially with regard to U.S. politics. No one is safe from the show's insightful jabs. But on Thursday, June 18, following the mass shootings at Emanuel A.M.E. Church the night before, Stewart came on the air with a somber look that’s becoming all too familiar lately and proceeded to tell his viewers why there would be no jokes that night. In a profound and eloquent monologue, Stewart, as only he can do, declared that the emperor has no clothes. It’s not the first time he’s shouted it to anyone who’s listening and I think we all know -- like Stewart -- that it won’t be the last. -- Linda Donovan
