NEW NALANI & SARINA MUSIC VIDEO
Nalani and Sarina Bolton are twin sisters. Mirror twins, so when they play guitar side by side, the guitar necks point in different directions, Lennon-and-McCartney-like. At 21, they’ve already performed and recorded for three years, and picked up some heavyweight collaborators and believers, including Will Lee, David Letterman’s long-time Late Show bass player. I’ve been a fan since I first saw them play live, and it’s fun to watch their career trajectory shoot skyward. They’ve just released a new, six-song CD, Scattered World, which includes the title song and this high-energy video, “Get Away,” directed and filmed by Sandrine Lee. Nalani & Sarina wrote all the songs on this mini-album, which is available as an MP3 download on Amazon, with a bonus track. All the songs have the same infectious energy, impressive polish, and beyond-their-years combinations of funk, Motown, pop and hip-hop. Watch this video, and you’ll get what I’m trying to describe, and happy to share with TVWW readers. Good luck, ladies. – David Bianculli
