OK, Here We Go Again
November 25, 2016  | By Eric Gould

We’re big fans of the the band OK Go who have really taken the idea of music videos into what we might all agree is the realm of fine art. For the past few years, they have been the high priests of the single take, fusing mind-boggling choreographed performance and colorful op-art into 4 minute masterwork achievements (often involving generous buckets of paint.) So, how do they follow all that? With a 4 second piece of course, for a song aptly entitled "The One Moment," which asks us to appreciate the fleeting small moments of life. The whole thing is replayed in super slo-mo to reveal a clever surprise. Oh, and we presume the Jackson Pollock-like explosion of paint is a wink to their music video forefathers, The J. Geils Band, who tricked us in 1982 in "Centerfold" with a snare drum that was really full of milk. See if you agree. —Eric Gould
