“Oh-Ohh, Yea-esssss”
One of Bill Hader’s funnier SNL bits was playing Keith Morrison, host of NBC’s Dateline, the newsmagazine show covering front-page murders. Hader and the writers played up the odd characteristics of the show — stretching out the story (way out), reusing the same photos over and over again and, of course, Morrison’s eccentric delivery and borderline amusement at some of the more macabre turns in the story. Hader was being interviewed for Sunday Today by Willie Geist when Morrison was the surprise visitor. —Eric Gould
