"Our Hearts Are Broken Today"
December 15, 2012  | By Eric Gould

This isn't video worth watching, or one that you'd ever want to see. But it is video that is now, regrettably, part of the national record. President Obama became emotional yesterday as he addressed the nation after the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut, where 27 people were murdered, 20 of them children. The President halted through a heartfelt statement, saying "As a country, we have been through this too many times." He added, “We’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.” He left without taking questions. –EG
