Paul Simon is Dressed for Thanksgiving
Paul Simon went against type for his 1976 Thanksgiving appearance on Saturday Night Live by walking out in a turkey suit to begin “Still Crazy After All These Years.” What began as a straight rendition of the song unraveled into a bitter rant about how the SNL crew had tricked him into stepping out of his public pose as Mr. Alienation. It was one of the early SNL moments of hosts breaking the fourth wall and going backstage to complain.
