Twelve years after the legal drama
Perry Mason disappeared from the CBS lineup, an NBC reunion movie led to the production of a series of telefilms, with Raymond Burr reprising his original role and Barbara Hale playing Della Street, Mason's loyal secretary. One of the most memorable Mason movies,
Perry Mason: The Case of the Reckless Romeo, aired today in 1992. In it, real-life talk show host Geraldo Rivera played a caricature of himself: a brazen, womanizing talk show host who's murdered following the publication of his steamy tell-all book. The film also starred William R. Moses as Mason's fellow attorney Ken Malansky. Moses' then-wife Tracy Nelson (daughter of Ricky Nelson, granddaughter of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson) played TV reporter Charley Adams.
