SAUL AND MIKE RETURN
Vince Gilligan’s spin-off about the backstory of Breaking Bad crook lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Better Call Saul, is officially premiering Sunday, February 8 on AMC. It looks as if early reports were true, and the series will visit the origins of some fave Breaking Bad characters like Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) the world-weary ex-cop who was the muscle for Walt’s evil nemesis, Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito). No word on whether this is just a cameo for Banks or a continuing role but either way, it’s sort of a thrill to see a character we’d never thought would return. –Eric Gould
