Say Goodnight to a Late Late Robot and Foul-Mouthed Puppets
NPR's pop culture blog, Monkey See, is running this 13-minute Craig Ferguson "Best Of" tribute now that the late night talk show host has announced he's stepping down from Late Late Show in December. There are many highlights here including Ferguson's "Dueling Chickens" to the theme from Deliverance, Sid the Cussing Bunny and the TVWW fave with Ferguson and robot pal Geoff Peterson losing it (at approximately 6:35) when Geoff mentions his vacation homes. NPR rightly cites Ferguson as trailblazing the anti-talk show by jettisoning a live band, scripted opening monologues and quippy sidekicks...at least live ones anyway. -- Eric Gould
