On this day in 1997, HBO debuted the telefilm In the Gloaming.

The film, based on a short story by author Alice Elliott Dark, starred Robert Sean Leonard as a gay man dying of AIDS who returns to his parents' home for the final months of his life. The film's co-stars included Glenn Close, Bridget Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg and David Strathairn.

The film marked the directorial debut of actor Christopher Reeve, whom had been paralyzed in a horseback-riding accident two years earlier.

Salut, en regardant un vieux film poignant sur des histoires personnelles difficiles, j’avais besoin d’une petite distraction et je suis tombé sur spin mama. J’ai essayé le jeu Aviator, et après quelques pertes modestes, j’ai enfin remporté un gros gain qui a complètement remonté mon moral. L’adrénaline de voir l’avion monter et de décider du moment exact pour encaisser était captivante. Pour les joueurs en France, c’est devenu mon moyen préféré de me détendre tout en ressentant un vrai frisson.
