2004: Last Telecast of 'The District'
This day in 2004 marked the last telecast of the CBS drama, The District.
The series, loosely based on the real-life story of New York City deputy police commissioner Jack Maple, featured former Coach star Craig T. Nelson as a Newark police chief tapped to take over the job as Washington D.C.'s police commissioner.
The show's list of co-stars included Lynne Thigpen, Jayne Brook, Roger Aaron Brown, Sean Patrick Thomas, John Amos, Michelle Forbes, Jonathan LaPaglia, Ving Rhames, Jacklyn Smith, Kelly Rutherford, Vanessa Bell Calloway and Jean Smart.
The District ran four seasons.
