1986: The Final Episode of 'The Fall Guy'
This day in 1986 marked the final telecast of the ABC series, The Fall Guy. The show, which debuted in 1981, marked Lee Majors' return to series television, three years after the end of The Six-Million Dollar Man.
Majors portrayed Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who spends his off-hours putting his specialized skills to work as a bounty hunter. Seavers is assisted — in both performing stunts and capturing fugitives — by cohorts Howie Munson and Jody Banks, portrayed respectively by co-stars Douglas Barr and Heather Thomas.
And here's an "Extra" you may not have known: The show's theme song, "Unknown Stuntman," was performed by Majors, who made mention of his then-estranged wife, Farrah Fawcett, along with several other top actors and actresses of the day.
