2000: 'Party of Five' Wraps Up
On this day in 2000, Fox aired the season finale of Party of Five.
The series, which debuted in 1994, focused on the five Salinger children who were orphaned when their parents were killed in an auto accident. Oldest brother Charlie, played by future Lost star Matthew Fox, became legal guardian to his siblings: Bailey, played by Scott Wolf; Julia, played by Neve Campbell; Claudia, played by Lacey Chabert; and Owen, portrayed by twins Brandon and Taylor Porter.
During its six-year run the series also starred several well-known TV actors, and introduced several others, including Paula Devicq, Scott Grimes, Mitchell Anderson, Jeremy London, Marla Sokoloff, Brenda Strong, Dan Lauria, Andrew Keegan, Paige Turco, Jessica Lundy, Kyle Secor, Lauren Ambrose and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
