1988: ABC Presents 'The Bourne Identity' Miniseries

On this day in 1988, ABC presented a miniseries version of Robert Ludlum's thriller, The Bourne Identity.

The two-part spy drama, a precursor to the 2002 film version featuring Matt Damon, starred Richard Chamberlain as Jason Bourne. Co-stars included Jaclyn Smith, Donald Moffat and Denholm Elliott.
