This day in 1972 marked the last telecast of The Ken Berry "Wow" Show. The summer replacement series starred future Mama's Family star Ken Berry — best known at the time for stints on sitcoms such as Mayberry R.F.D. and F Troop — and demonstrated his variety show skills.
The hour-long ABC series also showcased up-and-comers such as Steve Martin, Teri Garr, and a young actress names Cheryl Stoppelmoor — whom audiences would later get to know as Cheryl Ladd. It only ran four episodes.
