TRILOGY OF TERROR: SPECIAL EDITION
August 13, 2012  | By David Bianculli  | 1 comment

On March 4, 1975, a few months before Steven Spielberg’s Jaws terrorized moviegoers nationwide, this ABC telemovie provided another giant scare from a relentless set of teeth – this time belonging to a tiny Zuni fetish doll that is chasing a woman played by Karen Black. Black played three other roles (including mismatched twins) in this inventive trilogy, which was written by Richard Matheson and William F. Nolan. The special effects, of course, are dated now, but the tales themselves are not – this is one TV movie that screams for a modern remake. Click here – DB
