DC has just released the unaired episode of the NBC comedy Powerless, featuring the late Adam West as chairman of the Gotham City Wayne Industries. An interesting premise of a Wayne subsidiary in nearby Charm City that specializes in gear that protects bystanders from battles between superheroes and supervillains, Powerless never built an audience and was canceled in spring. West spoofed his ‘60s Batman series sign-offs with a tongue-in-cheek take to the audience, teasing them to tune in next week, but didn’t use the old “Same time, same Bat-channel.” —Eric Gould
