There Goes the Sun
August 20, 2017  | By Eric Gould  | 1 comment

The solar eclipse across America tomorrow, August 21, is the first to occur in 38 years, and another won’t appear again until 2024. So review all the cosmological geometry here provided by National Geographic, get your ISO 12312-2 compliant solar shades, and witness the rare celestial blockage for a few minutes.

For those fortunate enough to witness the solar eclipse in person, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that left a lasting impression on viewers of all ages. The next total solar eclipse visible from the United States occurred on April 8, 2024, providing another opportunity for skywatchers to marvel at the wonders of the cosmos.
