Trick Number One

This wasn’t one of the Super Bowl ads, but released just before the game it certainly caught our interest and made us laugh. With car insurance companies wallpapering commercial time 24/7, they need the most clever jokes and enduring characters. Geico has Maxwell, the little piggie, but creatively he's no match for Progressive’s “Flo” or Allstate’s “Mayhem." In an alternate campaign, Geico makes its discount strategy as commonly known as other obvious standards – like the oldest trick in the book. So, here it is, Trick Number One, and remember to conclude by alerting your victim, “So endeth the trick”… –EG
